Scientific-technical conference «State and prospects of development of communication networks - Rosinfokom 2015» in St. Petersburg

October 28, 2015 in the Bonch-Bruevich Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications (SPbSUT) Federal Communications Agency held scientific-technical conference «State and prospects of development of communication networks - Rosinfokom 2015».

The event was attended by over 140 representatives of federal and regional executive authorities, telecom operators, industry-leading companies, universities and the media.

Head of the Federal Agency of Communications Oleg Dukhovnitsky in his welcoming speech stressed the need for such meetings: «Achieving the goals and effective implementation of the development, creation, operation and modernization of communication systems is impossible without carrying out a wide range of research and interaction with representatives of the scientific community. The union at the conference «Rosinfokom» all participants in tandem with experts from the scientific and educational community will allow to provide the most complete picture of the current state of the networks, from different angles to analyze and discuss all the questions».

The plenary session was opened by the report of the «Scientific and technical support of the Federal Communications Agency in the realization of public service in the field of telecommunications and postal services, including in the creation, development and use of communication networks, satellite communication systems, television and radio broadcasting" (the deputy head of the Federal Communication Agency Roman Sheredin). Roman Valerievich in his speech spoke about the results and prospects of work, created in September of 2015 Scientific and Technical Council (STC) of the Federal Communications Agency.

«The activity of the Council, aimed at the development of scientific and technological potential and the formation of a unified scientific-technical policy in the sphere of activity of the Agency and its subordinate institutions, already gives the first important results for the industry», - said Roman Sheredin.

During the plenary sessions and workshops the participants reviewed and discussed issues relating to the state of network telecommunication and postal services and ways of modernization, space communications, the creation of a transport network for special purposes, prospects of development of information and communication technologies and training to meet the challenges of information security of the state of the communications sector and others.

The conference was a decision on further cooperation of participants to address the strategic issues of the industry development and the problems to be operational decisions.
