The stamps of the special series “The Russian Federation Heroes” are entering the postal usage

February 21, 2014 according to the decision of Commission of the Federal Communications Agency on the postage stamps, the special stamps from the series “The Russian Federation Heroes” are entering the postal usage. The output is made by FSUE Publishing center "Marka" subordinated to Rossvyaz.

Perov Alexander Valentinovich (1975-2004) - Head of Task Force of the 1st Management Department "A" FSB Russia, Major. The title of Hero of the Russian Federation (post mortem) is awarded for courage and bravery, shown during the release of the hostages in Beslan.

Turkin Andrey Alekseevich (1975-2004) - officer of Management Department "B" FSB Russia, Lieutenant. The title of Hero of the Russian Federation (post mortem) is awarded for courage and heroism, shown at the special task.

Pozhkov Andrey Nickolaevich (1961-1998) - Group Commander of the State Central airmobile rescue team MOE Russia "Centrospas". The title of Hero of the Russian Federation (post mortem) is awarded for courage and heroism in the trial of new life-saving equipment.

Chechviy Victor Stepanovich (1960-1999) - deputy battalion commander of OMON in the Sverdlovsk region, Major of the police. The title of Hero of the Russian Federation (post mortem) is awarded for courage and heroism in the counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus region.

Malofeev Mikhail Yr’evich (1956-2000) - Head of the combat training of the 58th Squaw Army - Deputy Commander of Federal Forces "North" in the Chechen Republic, major-general. The title of Hero of the Russian Federation (post mortem) is awarded for courage and heroism shown in the elimination of illegal armed groups.

On the post stamps are shown the pictures of  Perov Alexander Valentinovich, Turkin Andrey Alekseevich, Pozhkov Andrey Nickolaevich, Chechviy Victor Stepanovich, Malofeev Mikhail Yr’evich

and the “Golden Star” medal on the background of the composition, reflecting the hero’s profession.

To the release are also prepared the first day envelopes with the quicklime (Moscow, St. Petersburg).

These stamps will be on sale at all post offices in the territory of the Russian Federation since February 21, 2014.

Form: sheets decorated with the fields (2x3) of 5 stamps and coupons.

Circulation: 215 thousand marks of each subject (43 thousand sheets).
